Geothermal Exchange systems consist of three elements:
The Heat Pump Exchanger - Inside Connection
The Ground Heat Exchanger - Earth Connection
Delivery System - Ductwork or Radiant
In the heating mode, heat is absorbed from the earth and transferred into the building by way of water or a water solution. The heat pump exchanger inside the building raises the temperature of the heat (energy) for distribution throughout the home. In the cooling mode, the process is reversed; heat is absorbed from the building and transferred back into the earth. In addition to heating and cooling, Geothermal Exchange can also provide hot water.
Unlike conventional systems where heat is created, Geothermal Exchange systems move the heat that already exists.
